Syrian’s Fatal Shot For Dortch

Hawkinsville, Sept. 15 – 

From a wound received last Saturday night while assisting officers in trouble
with Mose and Tom Simons here, Allen Dortch, age 28 years, died at 3 o’clock
this afternoon.  From the first it was known he was seriously wounded and but
little hope was entertained for his recovery.
