Abbeville, July 24. - Mr. J. S. McLeod, a well known citizen, died at his home in Pineview Sunday afternoon. He had been in feeble health several weeks. Mr. McLeod was 80 years old, and was born and raised in Wilcox County. He leaves one brother D. W. McLeod, of Pineview, two sisters Mrs. Tom Ryals, of Rhine, and Susie Mizell, of Pineview, three sons, Edward McLeod, Jacksonville; Grover and Hendley McLeod, of Pineview; two daughters, Mrs. Guy Evans, of Jonesboro, and Mrs. Royal Bragg, of Hawkinsville, and other relatives in Wilcox and Pulaski Counties. Additional Comments: Compiler Notes: One must remember when they say, born and raised in Wilcox County. You have to say Pulaski (Now) Wilcox County.
