Vol.17, #34, Thursday Morning, 23 Aug. 1983:
   Mr. John R. Pearce, aged about seventy years, died on his farm in the 
southeastern part of Pulaski County on Tuesday last.  Mr Pearce came to this 
county from Houston, and had been a citizen for many years.
   Compiler Notes: John Russell Pearce was buried at the Friendship Baptist 
Church Cemetery in Pulaski County.  This church is in Wilcox County on the 
Pulaski/Wilcox County line.  John Russell Pearce  married Martha A. M. Smith 
on 22 Nov 1846. She is buried next to her husband.
