DIED:  Mr. James Phillips died at his residence in this county on 20 July 
1870, he was 83 years old.

Additional Comments:
A family tree list his name as:  James Exum Phillips, born: 30 Dec 1788 in 
North Carolina and died 20 July 1870 at his home in Pulaski County, Georgia. 
He married Mary Polly Horn abt 1806 in North Carolina. He was listed as son of 
Exum Phillips.  For further documentation see:  Historical Collections of the 
DAR, Vol. IV., Page 217, Two (2) Phillips Bibles are listed and shown to be in 
possession of  Mrs. J. L. Mims, Hawkinsville, Georgia.

NOTE: His grave is a Confederate Grave marked some years ago and only shows: 
Jas Phillips.
