MARRIAGES, DEATHS, AND ETC. FROM HAWKINSVILLE DISPATCH (GEORGIA) 1870 – 1888 BY: M SGT ROBERT K. NOBLES, JR. Vol 14, #7, Thursday Morning, 12 Feb. 1880: Obituary, Pages 140. Mrs. Charity Pollock, wife of Mr. Morris Pollock, and formerly Mrs. Charity Love, died at her home in this county on Saturday night last. The remains were buried on Monday at Antioch, by the side of other members of the family. Additional Comments: Compiler Notes: Charles Love ( born@ 1824 & died @ 1867 in Pulaski County., Georgia. He married Charity Miller on 3 Jan 1844 in Laurens County., Georgia (Bk “F”, Page 13). Charity Love married James Jim Morris Pollock 8 Mar 1869 in Pulaski County., Georgia. She was his 2nd wife. He is buried in the Slade Cemetery., Pulaski County by his 1st wife (name unknown). I am assuming as it stated Charity was buried by the side of other members of the family. Charles Love who died @ 1867 is probably buried in Antioch as it was a practice to bury the wives with 1st husband. Charles Love was a son of John Love who died in Laurens County., Georgia @ 1849 when David Harvard applied for letters of administration of his estate.
