                  WADE IS VICTIM AS TRUCK IS HIT
      Hawkinsville Man Dies In Macon Hospital After Crash
                    MOTOR ALMOST DEMOLISHED
 W. E. Wade Jr, 27, of Hawkinsville, died yesterday afternoon at 6:05 o'clock 
at the Macon Hospital where he was brought after being struck by a Southern 
train at Cochran earlier in the afternoon. He reached the hospital about 5:30 
o'clock.
 At the hospital, it was found, that Wade was suffering internal injuries, a 
broken right jaw, a deep gash above his nose, and abrasions about one of his 
eyes.Other brusies were noticable about his body.
 Wade had been to Cochran from the Gulf Refining Station in Hawkinsville, where 
he was employed, to deliver gasoline, it was said, and on the return trip, near 
a cotton mill in Cochran, the north bound train almos completely demolished the 
Ford truck.
 Wade was a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Wade of Hawkinsville and besides his 
parents, he is survived by his wife, who was Miss Nellie Richardson, daughter 
of the Pulaski County tax collector; two small daughters, and a brother, Oliver 
Wade of Hawkinsville.
 The body was taken to Hart Undertaking Parlor, where it is being held pending 
the arrival of relatives before funeral arrangements are made. The body will 
probably be sent to his home for funeral and interment.

William was born 7 Oct 1896 to William Exam Wade Sr. and Lula Jones Wade. He is 
buried in Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville, Ga. His wife, Susan 
Lynell "Nell" Richardson Wade is also buried there.
