Will of Jeremiah Gilstrap 12 Nov 1817 Pulaski County, GA


State of Georgia, Pulaski County

In the Name of God Amen, I Jeremiah Gilstrap of the State and County 
aforesaid being of Sound mind and Memory make this my last will and 
testament.

Item 1st     I recommend my Soul to God who gave it me and my body to 
be buried decently in the usual form

Item 2nd     After my funeral charge is paid first that my just debts 
be paid

Item 3rd     I request that my loving wife Ann Hampliton Gilstrap have
all my property during her natural Life or widowhood and at her marriage 
(if so) to have one horse to the Value of Seventy five dollars, Two Cows 
their Calves and one Good feather Bed & furniture -

Item 4th     It is my desire that my son Idolet have one horse to the 
Value of Eighty dollars and one Bridle & Saddle to the Value of Twenty 
dollars when arrives to the age of Twenty one Years

Item 5th     It is my desire that at the Death or Marriage of my wife 
Ann H Gilstrap all the balance of my property not heretofore disposed 
of be Equally Divided amongst my four children Idolet, Elizabeth, Mary, 
& Eveline Gilstrap

Item 6th     I appoint my wife Ann H Gilstrap my Executrix and John
 Gilstrap my Executor to this my will

Given under my hand & Seal This Twelfth day of November 1817
