There are at least 5 Confederate Soldiers buried here. I was told by the tour guide at The Uncle Remus Museum that a tornado went through the area a few years ago and that a female Forest Ranger came by and discussed the condition of the Cemetery after the storm. She said that at one time there had been a church beside it. The cemetery was formerly known as the Stanfordville Community Cemetery, very close by was Stanford School House. ==================================================================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
