Putnam County, Deed Book O, pages 305 – 306

Georgia                    }  This Indenture made this thirteenth day of August
Putnam County              }   in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred & 
thirty four Between William H Huff of the county of Putnam of the one part & 
Nicholas Tompkins of the county of Putnam of the other part.  Witnesseth that 
the said Wm. H for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars in 
hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt 
where of is here by acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened conveyed 
and  confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien convey and 
confirm unto the said Nicholas his heirs and assigns all that parcel of land 
lying in said county containing one hundred acres more or less adjoining Moses 
Presley Green Allen & Isham Brooks whereon Robert Bain now lives 
To have and to hold the said land with all and singular the rights members and 
privileges & appurtenances thereof, whatsoever to the said premises belonging 
or in any wise appertaining with the remainder and remainders, revision and 
revisions, rents issues and profits thereof; to the only proper use benefit and 
behoof of him the said Nicholas his heirs executors administrators and assigns 
in fee simple: and the said Wm. H. Huff his heirs executors and administrators 
doth warrant and will forever defend the premises here by conveyed unto the 
said Nicholas his heirs executors administrators and assigns against the lawful 
claim of the said Wm. H. Huff his heirs executors and administrators and all 
and every of the person or persons whomsoever by virtue of these presents.  In 
Witness whereof the said William H Huff hath hereunto set his hand and affixed 
his seal the day and year above written.
