Georgia                  }  This Indenture Made and entered into this 
Putnam County      }  twenty eighth day of October Eighteen hundred and fourteen
between Moses Finley of the one part and Giles Tompkins of the other part both 
of the state and county aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Moses Finley for and 
in consideration of the sum of Six hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the 
said Giles Tompkins the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, 
bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and 
one and a quarter acres, more or less whereon the said Finley now lives it 
being part of Lot number One hundred and thirty three in the fourth district of 
Baldwin when surveyed now Putnam County it being all said Finley now holds of 
sd. tract adjoining Philips, Walker, Ogletree and sd. Tompkins for and in 
consideration of the above sum of six hundred dollars the said Moses Finley 
doth warrant and defend the said premises to Giles Tompkins his heirs and 
assigns forever. In witness thereof I hereunto set my hand & seal the day & 
date above written
