All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beth Collins collins@negia.net December 8, 2003, 11:29 am Lots 153 & 139, 2nd District Putnam County Written: March 5 1811 Recorded: August 14 1813 Putnam County, Deed Book C, page 202 - 203 Georgia } This Indenture made this fifth day of March Putnam County } in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eleven between Giles Tompkins of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and William Williams of the same State and County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Giles Tompkins for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand well and truly paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold conveyed & confirmed unto him the said William Williams his heirs or assigns all that tract or part of two lots of land Containing two hundred fifty two and a half acres it being lot number One hundred and fifty three containing two hundred two and a half acres in the second district of Putnam county and part of lot number One hundred and thirty nine in the aforesaid District Containing fifty acres To have and To hold all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining unto him the said William Williams his heirs or assigns forever in fee simple. And the said Giles Tompkins doth warrant & forever defend the aforesaid lot of land from the claim of himself his heirs or assigns but from the claim or claims of no other person or persons whatsoever In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written Signed Sealed and delivered In presence of Stephen W.
