As aforesaid hath bargained sold & conveyed and by these presents do bargain sell & convey unto the said Nicholas Tompkins his heirs & assigns a tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in fourth district of originally Baldwin now Putnam County it being part of lot number one hundred & five in the plan of said district containing one hundred & sixty nine acres be the same more or less beginning at a white oak corner running N 45 E 45 chains & 50 links to a post oak corner thence N 45 W 25 chains to a stake corner thence S 45 W 23 chains to a stake corner thence N 45 W 24 chains & 80 links to a stake corner thence S 45 W 22 chains & 70 links to a stake corner & thence S 45 E 49 chains & 60 links to the beginning corner To have and To hold all & singular the rights members & appurtenances unto the aforesaid tract or parcel of land belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Nicholas Tompkins his heirs executors & administrators forever in fee simple & the said William, Matthew & James Whitfield Exrs. of the said Benjn. Whitfield decd as aforesaid do by these presents & will forever warrant & defend the right & title of the aforesaid premises to him the said Nicholas Tompkins his heirs & assigns against the claim or claims of all & every person whatever. In testimony whereof the said William, Matthew & James Whitfield Exrs as aforesaid hath hereunto set their hands & seals the day and year above written and year above written In presence of Chas H Houston Wm Whitfield Exr.
