Putnam County, Deed Book O, page 235

Georgia                  }  This Indenture made this first day of March
Putnam Count        }  in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred & thirty one 
between Levi Boswell of the one part & John Tompkins of the other part both of 
the State & County aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said Boswell doth bargain & 
sell unto the said Tompkins a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in 
the County of Putnam containing one hundred one & a quarter acres more or less 
it being the one half of lot number ninety eight in the fourth district of 
Baldwin when surveyed the half adjoining ninety seven the place where Reuben 
Wright formerly lived Witnesseth that the said Boswell for & in consideration 
of the sum of five hundred & fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said 
Tompkins the receipt is hereby acknowledged hath bargained & sold the above 
described tract of land unto the said Tompkins and by these presents the said 
Boswell his heirs & assigns doth warrant & defend the titles of said tract of 
land unto the said Tompkins his heirs & assigns forever in fee simple. In 
Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day & date above 
written
