Putnam County, Deed Book K, pages 159 - 160

Georgia                  }  This Indenture made the thirty first day of 
Putnam County      }  October Eighteen hundred & fifteen  between Giles 
Tompkins of the County & State aforesaid one part and Hartwell Williford of the 
County & State aforesaid of the other part  Witnesseth that the above bound 
Giles Tompkins for & in consideration of the Sum of Three hundred dollars to 
him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted 
bargained & Sold and by these presents doth grant bargain & Sell unto Hartwell 
Williford all that lot or parcel of Land containing one hundred one & one 
fourth acres it being the one half of lot No one hundred and Seven it being the 
west half adjoining Hooks Lot No one hundred and eight to have & to hold 
together with all the rights members & appertenances thereunto belonging or in 
any wise appertaining unto the Said Hartwell Williford his heirs & assigns and 
the said Giles Tompkins doth forever warrant & defend the right title interest 
and claim from himself his heirs & assigns unto the Said Hartwell Williford his 
heirs & assigns  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my 
Seal the day & date above written
