Putnam County, Deed Book H, page 56

State of Georgia             }  This Indenture made and 
Putnam County               }  entered into this twenty fourth day of January 
eighteen hundred and eighteen  between Giles Thompkins of the one part and 
Elisha Cain of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the 
Sum of Six hundred dollars to me in hand paid by the said Elisha Cain,  the 
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold a 
certain tract or lot of land Containing two hundred two and a half acres more 
or less whereon sd Cain now lives it being lot number Seven in the fourth 
district of Baldwin when surveyed now Putnam County for and in Consideration of 
the above sum of six hundred dollars to me in hand paid by the sd Cain the Said 
Thompkins doth warrant and defend the rights of said premises to the said Cain 
his heirs and assigns for ever in witness thereof I hereunto set my hand Seal 
in presence of
