Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of two Thousand dollars to me in hand paid by the Said Traylor hath granted, bargained and Sold a Certain tract or lot of land Containing two hundred two and a half acres more or less it being number Seventy Seven in the fourth district of Baldwin County when Surveyed, now Putnam County; for the above mentioned Sum of two thousand dollars to me in hand paid, I the Said Giles Tompkins doth warrant and forever defend the rights of Said land to Edward Traylor, his heirs, and assigns forever, together with all its rights and appurtenances thereunto belonging In witness whereof I Set my hand & Seal in presence of Edward Holaway Giles Tompkins Nicholas Tompkins Georgia } Personally appeared before me Edward Hollaway and Putnam County } being duly Sworn Saith that he Saw Giles Tompkins Sign the within deed for the purposes within mentioned and further that Nicholas Tompkins was a Subscribing witness with himself Sworn to before me Edwd Hollaway this 12th Septr, 1818 Wm E.
