1841, September 6---This Indenture made between Joseph A. Magruder unto James 
W. Massin, both of Putnam County.  For and in consideration of the sum of $1100 
dollars, has granted, sold and conveyed all that tract or parcel of land 
containing 217 ½ acres lying and being on the Waters of Crooked Creek adjoining 
Walker Keaton & Edwards, known as lot No. 221 with the addition of 150 acres, 
for a more particular description see deed from Kendrick to Magruder, also 
another lot containing 2 ½ acres lying on the Northeast corner of lot No. 212 
known as the Kendrick House lot running in a line between the two lots, Nos. 
221 & 212.  [3rd District]
