The Eatonton Messenger, Eatonton, Ga. January 15, 1948
Funeral services for Carlder Preston Layson, 38, were held Wednesday at Union 
Hill Church.  Layson died Tuesday at the local clinic.

Born and bread in Jasper County, Mr.  Layson was a member of the old Pine Grove 
Christian Church. 
He is survived by his wife, Leona Wagner Layson, two daughters, Hattie and 
Grace and one son, Carlder, Jr.  Three brothers, H. A. Layson, W. T. Layson and 
E. P. Layson all of Putnam County ,two sisters Mrs. L. H. Kelly and Mrs. Hope 
McMichael, Putnam County. 
Pallbearers were Ted Whitman, H. P. McMichael, Hugh Layson, Harold McMichael, 
Wink Layson and Loyd ? lly. 
Interment was in Driscoll cemetery.
