E. Lewis Dead. She Passed Away Yesterday at the Home of Her Daughter After a Brief Illness. Mrs. M. E. Lewis died yesterday evening at 6 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W. F. Crusselle, 57 Merrits avenue. Mrs. Lewis was the widow of Colonel David W. Lewis, who died at Dahlonega, Ga., some years aggo. She leaves five children, Mrs. L. B. Ramsaur and Mrs. W. F. Crusselle, of this city; Mrs. W. P. Jarrett, of Gainesville, Ga.; Mrs. James Littlefield, of Marshall, Tex., and Meriwether Lewis, of Adrian, Ga. She was seventy-two years of age. Her death was caused by a severe attack of rheumatism of several weeks' duration. Mrs. Lewis was much beloved in her circle of friends, was very quiet and gently in manner, a beautiful, noble character in all things. The interment will occur late this afternoon at Eatonton, Ga., where the remains will be shipped early this morning.
