The headstone of Cary Cox, Sr. (~1744-1814) in the Cox-Griggs Burying Ground 
within the Oconee National Forest in Putnam Co., GA.  This photo, taken while a 
rubbing was being made illustrates the writing on his gravestone showing Cary 
Cox to be a Revolutionary War Soldier from South Carolina (this stone probably 
erected by the DAR sometime in the early 20th century).  The directions to the
