This file was contributed by: Terri Johnson Ladytsj64@aol.com ==================================================================== In Will Book C, page 3 Putnam Co. an abstract of the will of Joseph BRANAM is a follows: Will of Joseph BRANM, his children, Martha, Sarah, Lucy, Wiley, Nancy, and son Kenion. Will written August 20, 1851 and probated November 3, 1857. Since Joseph's wife Mary is not mentioned in the will, she probably died shortly after 1850. There are also two other indications that Kenion (Kinnon) was the son of Joseph. Joseph lived with him in 1850 and Kenion is listed as son and executor of Joseph's Will. Georgia Putnam County Known all men by those present that I Joseph Branam of the State & County of Georgia do make & ordain this my last will & testament in the manner & form as follows _________. I give & bequeath to my daughter Martha one bed & furniture, one cow & calf. I give & bequeath to my son Wiley Branam, one hundred acres land, being a part of Lot No. 382 lying North of Rushing Creek, the same being ________ on left. Also I gave to my said son Wiley, one bay horse & saddle. I give & bequeath to my daughter Sarah one bed & furniture, one cow & calf. I give & bequeath to my daughter Lucy one bed & furniture, one cow & calf. I give & bequeath to my daughter Nancy one bed & furniture, one cow & calf. I give and bequeath to my son Kinion Branam, all the residences of my estate both real and personal in any _______ belonging to me The Land part____tor which I may die ________ of, said Land known as Lot No. 378. I do hereby, nominate and appoint my said Son Kinion Branam sole executor to this my last will & testiment.
