Will of Martha Kendrick 06 Mar 1822 Putnam County, GA The last will & Testament of Martha Kendrick Georgia ) I Martha Kendrick in perfect mind and memory Putnam County ) in the presence of Almighty God do make this my last will & testament. I do give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Betsy A. Kendrick my bay mare I give & bequeath unto my (4) sons grandchildren John W. Carter, William B. Carter, Walton T. Carter & Robert M. Carter fifty dollars in cash to be equally divided between them. I give & bequeath unto my son in law Lewis Wright five dollars in cash I do further give & bequeath my real and personal Estate and all debts due me at this time after paying all my just debts and the balance of my property to be equally divided into five equal parts (as follows) I do give and bequeath unto my four grandchildren John W. Carter, William B. Carter, Walton T. Carter & Robert M. Carter one fifty of my estate to be Equally divided between them I do give and bequeath the balance of my estate unto John Monk, Meredith Kendrick, Priscilla Good and Betsy A.
