The last funeral held here was that of a JACKSON in the early 1930's. The known family members are: Hudley JACKSON, Lottie JACKSON, Penny JACKSON, Dave JACKSON, and Bud JACKSON. The many large rocks and the row of six pine heart stakes, that once were crosses tell the story of the size of this cemetery. Massive pine trees abound and hide it well. It is located about a mile past the old Bumbleton voting house, that at one time was also used as a court house. Mr. L. D. Ellis remembers that as a child, his father held court here once a month.
