This is a new cemetery owned by the First Missionary Baptist Church of Georgetown. The land was purchased from Mr. Fred Williamson of Birmingham, Ala., with Mr. Tommy Kendrick negotating for the First Baptist Church in 1983. Much work has been done clearing the area by the church and Mr. Kendrick thought that markers would be placed on all the graves in a few weeks. It is located on Highway 82, eight miles east of Georgetown and can be easily seen from the road. Mr. & Mrs. Tommy Kendrick "Cemeteries and Churches of Quitman County, Georgia" by Jacquelyn M.
