MAJORS Large stones were used to mark the graves of the Majors family and Mr. & Mrs. Harris. A chain link fence has been placed around this large plot andit is well kept by family members. There are many unmarked graves on the hillside as this was the site of the first Rocky Mt. Church. This cemetery can be found by going north on the Lumpkin Highway for six and a half miles, taking the dirt road on the right for about a mile. It is located on the right side of this road and can easily be seen from the road. Mrs. Roberta Ellis "Cemeteries and Churches of Quitman County, Georgia" by Jacquelyn M.
