GRIFFIN b Oct. 16, 1857 d Apr. 2, 1889 Martha Jane GRIFFIN b Aug. 17, 1864 d Apr. 23, 1932 Large bricked vault that a tree has grown up in and almost destroyed, believed to be the grave of Charles DUNNING. Known to be buried here in unmarked graves are: Albert COLE, Grady COLE, Joseph B. WHITAKER, and Annie Gordon McDaniel WHITAKER. This cemetery is located beside Green Grove Baptist Church. It is the cemetery of Pataula Baptist Church, the first church at this site. The cemetery is larger than is shown as there are many stones and sunken places over this area. There may be marked graves that were not found due to the years of overgrowth. To reach it, you take Highway 27 north and turn right on the second dirt road. Go about a mile on this road and there will be a dirt road to the left; the cemetery is just up this road. Mrs. Neville House is having the cemetery cleaned, work has begun this summer.
