The church began building in 1979 or 1980. The old Schultz home was bricked up and an addition was made to the side of the building that fronted Harrison Street. The new part is the meeting house and the older section is used as living quarters by the pastor and his family. The first to pastor in the church building was the Reverend Lee Guthrie with fourteen members. He remains as pastor and has a membership of seventy- three in 1987. Services are held every Sunday morning and evening. Bible class is held each Wednesday night. Pastor Lee Guthrie "Cemeteries and Churches of Quitman County, Georgia" by Jacquelyn M.
