Adams, Company I, eleventh Georgia Regiment. Contributed by Mr. Frank Bledsoe. G. H. Boyett was the brother of Abedie Ann Boyett who married John William Pittman, oldest son of Jesse R. Pittman (moved to La.) John Wm. moved back after about two years. G. H. was George Love Harrison Boyette. Mama told me he was with General Lee at the surrender. J. G. T. Pittman was likely J. T. D., John Tilbert Durham, son of John R. Pittman, a twin of Samuel William Duke, who isn't listed. Maybe he was off working somewhere by then. J. C. Pittman, John Church was a son of James R. Pittman. William Pittman, killed at Funkstown, July 10, 1863. James had a son Wmt. in the 1860 census. J. W. Pittman, died from wounds, Gettysburg, July 2, 1863, must have been J. R., Jesse R. son of John R., he died at Gettysburg. F. M. and P. F. Pittman, I believe were probably descendants of John Pittman and Mary/Polly Rowe of Va. who migrated directly to South Carolina, then crossed over about present Augusta and settled on the Kiokee, which empties into the Savannah near Augusta. They have descendants who were in Quitman County. I've never seen evidence of kinship. Compiled by Mrs. Bunnell Pittman Gresham, Ft. Worth, Texas. The Rice Bible shows that Lieutenant Stephen H. Rice was killed at Gettysburg, July 1, 1863. He was 24 years, 5 months, and 9 days old. Also shown was Lieutenant James B. Harrison, died June 21, 1864 of woundds received May 19 at Wilderness Battle, Virginia. Their Regiments were not shown.
