Additional Comments: "Resolution on the life of J. J. Castellow - A good and useful man has passed to his reward. The summons came on Sunday night, Feb. 22, 1914. Bro. Castellow has been a member of Enon Church for more than forty years, having joined in early manhood and no charge of wrong doing had eve been brought against him. This, our house of Worship, stands as a monument to his liberal giving of time and means, as one of the building committee of which he was the last surviving member. His motto was "Do and not say." Whereas, God has taken him to himself, be it resolved, 1st. That we as a church bow in humble submission to his Divine will. 2nd. That in the death of Bro. Castellow, the church has lost a useful member, the wife, a devoted husband, the children, an indulgent and loving father and the county and state a great citizen. Resolved that a copy of these resolutions be give the family ad a copy be sent the Christian Index for publication and a page of our church book be set apart with these resolutions written thereon. Respectfully submitted, W. T. Moore, J. P. Tye, Clerk." (1) (1) Enon Church Records, in Quitman Co., GA. Researched by Ron Bridges on 24 Aug 2004 at the Quitman County, GA Library.
