Dr. T. H. Thurmond, accompanied by Mr. C. H. Arthur and Rev. J. G. Scruggs, will go down to Georgetown this afternoon, where the former will be united, in wedlock this evening to Miss Emmie Jordan. The ceremony will take place at the home of the bride's mother, and will be performed by Rev. Mr. Scruggs. From Georgetown Dr. and Mrs. Thurmond will go to Forsyth to visit relatives of the former, after which they will come to Dawson. Miss Jordan is one of the prettiest and most charming young ladies of this section, and is a social favorite. She is a sister of Mr. E. T. Jordan, one of the well-known young business men of Dawson. Dr. Thurmond is a prominent and prosperous dentist, and is a very courteous and admirable gentleman with a host of friends.
