Calenback....Greeting Whereas, Lizzie Calenback Hollifield, Alfred Calenback and Cora Calenback, minors and orphans of Pelona Calenback, deceased, are possessed, in their own right, of a considerable estate, by means whereof the power of granting the guardianship of the property of said Lizzie Calenback Holifield, Alfred Calenback and Cora Calenback to me is manifestly known to belong, and for the better securing the estate of said minors, and from the integrity and confidence resposed in you, L. W. Calenback, I do hereby commit the guardianship of the property of the said Lizzie Calenback Hollifield, Alfred Calenback and Cora Calenback to you, the said L. W. Calenback, you assenting thereunto by your acceptance of these letters. Herein charging you, that you inquire into and take charge of their estate, both real and personal, and all other things do, which by law you ought to do, for said wards, of all which, a true and perfect account you shall render to the Court of Ordinary for said County, according to law, in every year during your continuance in office. And lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint you, the said L. W. Calenback, guardian of the property of the said minors during their minority. Calenback, a resident of said State, respectfully shows that Dellah Calenback, age 13 years, is a minor residing in said County under the age of 14 years, to wit: of the age of 13 years, said minor being the child of Pelona Calenback, late of said County deceased. Said minor is entitled to receive from the estate of said deceased, both real and personal property of the probable value of Sixteen Dollars, and it is necessary that a guardian be appointed to take charge of the person and property of the said minor. Wherefor peitioner prays to be appointed such guardian in that behalf. L. W. Calenback, Petitioner Rabun County, Court of Ordinary, Nov. Term, 1915 The application of L. W. Calenback, a resident of the State of Georgia, to be appointed guardian of the person and property of Dellah Calenback a minor residing in said County, read and considered. It appearing to the Court that citation is not required, and no objection having been made, and it further appearing that said L. W. Calenback the natural father, is the proper person to be appointed guardian as prayed for. It is ordered that said L. W. Calenback be, and he is hereby, appointed guardian of the person and property of the said Dellah Calenback. Let letters of Guardianship issue to said applicant L. W. Calenback is, by these presents, authorized, empowered and directed to receive, collect and take charge of the estate, both real and personal, of the said Dellah Calenback, and to do all things which are required of him by law, as guardain of said minor with all the authority and powers usual in such cases. Calenback be, and he is hereby appointed guardian for Mrs. Lizzie Calenback Hollifield, the person and property in said State, upon his giving bond and security in the sum of $33.33 1/3 to be approved by the Court, and taking the usual oath of office. W. Calenback, and prays the Court to sanction her choice, and appoint said L. W. Calenback her guardian; said L. W. Calenback residing in said State. Calenback acknowledge ourselves so bound unto James F. Smith, Ordinary of said County, and his successors and assigns, in the just and full sum of One Hundred Dollars, to the true payment of which, we bind ourselves and the heirs and executors of us, jointly and severally by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated, this 1st day of November, 1915. The condition of the above bond and obligation is such, That if the above bound L. W. Calenback who was this day appointed guardian for the persons and property of Lizzie Calenback Hollifield, Alfred Calenback and Cora Calenback, all of whom are over 14 years of age, and have chosen their guardian, orphan children of Pelona Calenback deceased, he acknowledging the same by his acceptance of said appointment and of letters of guardianship of this date, shall well and truly maintain, clothe and educate said orphans according to their circumstances, and shall take good and lawful care of their person and property, according to the laws of this State, and shall annually make a just and true return of his actings and doings herein unto the said Ordinary, and pay over all assets that may remain in his hands when said guardianship shall legally terminate, then this obligation to be void, else to remain in full force.
