Indenture between Daniel Teems and John M. English Rabun Co., GA Original entry in Book "B" page 269 which was transcribed to Book "T" page 205 Rabun Co., GA Daniel Teems to J. M. English; Georgia, Rabun Co. This indenture made and entered into this the ninth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven between Daniel Teems of the county and state aforesaid of the one part, and John M. English son in law and his wife, Elizabeth English, daughter of Daniel Teems of the same county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Daniel Teems for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars and for the natural love and affection that he has held for his son in law and daughter the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted bargained, sold and conveyed and does by these presents, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto him the said John English and Elizabeth English, their heirs and assigns, part of two lots of land situated, lying and being in the fifth district of Rabun County, Georgia and known and distinguished (?) by the numbers ninety and ninety (90) and (90) with a conditional (?): Commencing at a white oak at the bluff on the east side of the river, thence up the river to the mouth of the branch above the big rocks;-thence up said branch to an ash marked, thence south east, a marked line to the original line west to a white oak; thence north west to the beginning corner; thence a conditional (?) line made by the parties containing two hundred and fifteen acres more or less to have and to hold said bargained land and premises to him the said J. M. English and Elizabeth English, their heirs and assigns together with all and singular (??unable to read), members and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging or appertaining to his and their own proper use, benefit and behalf forever in fee simple and the said Daniel Teems for himself, his heirs and assigns the said bargained land and premises unto him the said J.M. and Elizabeth English, their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against the claims of himself, his heirs and assigns and agai Adam Teems Daniel X Teems { SEAL } Leander Teems, Justice Peace mark Recorded March 4, 1858 W.C.
