Deed Book F, Rabun Co., GA, pp. 24-25 Georgia, Rabun County This indenture [made?] the Seventh day of June in the year Eighteen hundred fifty nine between Henry Hopper administrator of the Estate of Samuel Hopper late of said county Deceased of the first part and Thomas Hopper of the second part. Witnesseth that whereas the Ordinary of Said county of Rabun Did at his court holden in the month of June last past did [empower?] said Henry Hopper as administrator as aforesaid to sell and Dispose of all the Real Estate of the said Samuel Hopper Deceased and whereas the said Henry Hopper [...] having given public notice of said sale for forty days in the Southern Banner a public gazette published in the town of Athens Georgia and having complied with all requisitions of the law therein did on the first Tuesday in June (this present month) proceed to Expose to Sale the lot of land hereafter described at the court House in Said county Between the hours limited by law for such sales and whereas the said Thomas Hopper Bought said lot at and for the sum of two hundred and fifty five Dollars which was the highest sum bid for the same at said sale. Now the said Henry Hopper administrator as aforesaid in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty five Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargained sold aliend and conveyed and by these presence does grant bargain sell alien and convey unto the said Thomas Hopper his heirs and assigns a lot of land in the Second District of Said county of Rabun known in the plan of said county as lot number one hundred & eighty four (184) in the Second District of said county. To have and to hold the said premises to said Thomas Hopper his heirs and assigns forever.
