Mack Gipson, colored, a highly respected colored citizen of Clayton died at the home of his mother, in Tennessee Valley, last Friday week, January 15th. Mack was about 35 years old and had been born and raised in Clayton where he enjoyed the confidence and esteem of both white and colored. He was also an ordained minister of the gospel. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his going away. His wife is a teacher of the colored school and has been for a number of years. Mack will be greatly missed by his color with whom he had always labored for the uplift of humanity. Peace to his ashes.
