Mar. 26, 1890 Clayton, GA., March 25. [Special.] Intelligence has just reached here of the sudden death of Rev. W. E. Philyaw, an influential and well-known citizen of our county. He was found dead in his buggy, eight miles west of Clayton, on Hiawassee road. It is said that a morbid thirst for wiskey seized him, an hour before his death. He has been in attendance on our superior court during the week, and was on his way home. He was already intoxicated when he was seen to drink the quart draught. He leaves a family to morn his loss. He was ordinarily, of sober habits. sic File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/rabun/obits/p/philyaw10801gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.2 Kb
