M. Ramey died Monday Dec. 17th, 1918 after an illnesse of almost eight months. Rev. Strickland, of Clayton, conducted the funeral services. By her request he read the first chapter of Phillippians, and her favorite songs were sung, which were "Death is only a dream" and "Whiter than Snow". She was put to rest in the family cemetery near Wiley, GA. Her children got a beautiful cross of flowers from Atlanta and her granddaughter, Mrs. Laura Brookbanks, of Atlanta, sent a very pretty design. Mrs. Ramey was known and loved far and wide, she always had a kind word for every one with whome she came in contact. She was a member of Old Tiger Baptist Church and she lived a very consistent christian life. She leaves a husband, eight children, a number of grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her loss.
