C. Wall died at her home in Clayton, last Monday, after ten days illness. On January 9th, Laura took two tablets of bichloride of mercury, while in an intoxicated condition. Laura was twenty one years of age, though no more than a child of ten or twelve in mind and actions; but always kind and agreeable with her friends and superiors. We do not believe that Laura committed this act with suicidal intent, neither do we belive, from what we know of the girl, that she is accountable for it, in the fullest sense. She suffered intensely before death, and tried to pray many times in her feeble way. We hope her prayers were answered, and her soul is now with its Giver. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the bereft family and friends.
