To the Honorable W. S. Long, Ordinary of said county: The petition of Mason B. Darnell, a resident of said county and state shows that Nisie Darnell, late of said county died testate on the [blank space] day of February, 1899, owning real and personal property in said State amounting in value to the probable sum of three hundred dollars. Petitioner herewith presents the last will and testament of said deceased and shows that he is named therein as executor. Wherefore he prays leave to prove said will in Common form and that letters testamentary do issue to him. his Mason B. x Darnell mark Georgia - Rabun County Before me personally appeared A. J. Grist, named as a witness to the within writing purporting to be the last will of Nicie Darnell, who being duly sworn, deposes and says that he, with W. J. Grist and M. M. Kell, did on the 30th day of May, 1898, attest as witnesses the within writing, in the presence of Nicie Darnell, who in their presence voluntairly signed and published the same as her last will; and that the said Nisie Darnell was, at the time of said attestation and signing, of sound and disposing mind and memory. Darnell, for the probate in common form of the last will and testament of Nicie Darnell, deceased, It appearing that a petition has been duly filed by said Mason B. Darnell, praying probate in common form of the will of Nicie Darnell and further praying the issuance of letters testamentary to the petitioner being supported by the affidavit annexed thereto of Andrew J. Grist one of the witnesses to said will and the contents of said petition appearing to be true it is now ordered that the same be recorded having been duly proved in common form. Let letters testamentary issue to the applicant Mason B. Darnell, upon his taking the usual oath of office. This April, 3rd 1899. W. S. Long, Ordinary Rabun County Will - Georgia - Rabun County I, Nisie Darnell, of said State and county, being of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament. Item 1st I give bequeath and devise to my son Mason B. Darnell all my interest in the lands of Harrison Darnell, deceased, who was my husband, to have and to hold free from all charge or limitation whatever to his own proper use benefit and behoof. Item 2nd I give and bequeath and devise to my son Mason B.
