J. Martin securities are held and firmly bound unto Lewis N. Jones ordinary of said County and his sucessors in office in the Just and full sum of twenty five hundred dollars for the payment of which sum to the said ordinary and his successors we bind our selves and heirs executors and Administrators in the whole and for the whole sum jointly and severly and firmly by these presents sealed with our Seals and dated this seventh day of December eighteen hundred and fifty seven. The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Henry Hopper Administrator of the goods and chattels and credits of Samuel Hopper late of this County deceased do make a true inventory of all and singular the goods Chattels and Cretids of the said deceased which have or shall come into the hands possession or knowledge of the said Henry Hoper or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him and the same so made do exhibit into the Court of ordinary when he shall be thare unto required and such goods chattels and credits do well and truly administer acording to law and do make a just and true account of his [adings?] and doings there on when required by the Superior Court of Register of probates for the County and all the rest of the goods Chattels and credits which shall be found remaining upon the acount of the said deceased administration of the same being first allowed by the said Court shall deliver and pay to such persons respectfully as are entitled to the same by law and if it shall hereafter appear that any last will and testament was made by the said deceased and the same be proved before the Court and the executors obtain a certifficate of the probate thare of and the said Henry Hopper do in such case if required render and deliver up the said letters of admiistration then this obligation to be void else remain in full force. I]t is therefour ordered that Henry Hopper administrator on said estate have leave and leave is hereby granted him to sell the lands belonging to said estate. Deed Book F, Rabun Co., GA, pp. 21-23 Georgia, Rabun County This indenture made this the Seventh day of June in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty nine between Henry Hopper administrators of the estate of Samule Hopper late of said county deceased of the first part and Thomas Hopper of the second part. Witnesseth that whereas the ordinary of said court of Rabun [due] at his court helde in the month of June last past did [impurs] the said Henry Hopper as administrators as aforesaid to sell and dispose of all the reall estate of the said Samuel Hopper deceased. And whereas the Said Henry Hopper having given publick Notice of Said Sale for forty days in the Southern Banner public Gazette published in the town of Athens Georgia and having compelled with all [sequintion] of the law in on the first Tuesday in this present month (June) forever expose to sale the lot of land herein after described at the court House of said county between the Hours limited by law for such Sale and whereas the Said Thomas Hopper bought Said lot of land at and for the sum of two hundred and sixty five dollars which was the highest sum bid for the [same?] at Said Sale. Now the said Henry Hopper administrators as aforesaid in consideration of the Said Sum of Two hundred and Sixty five Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge has granted bargained Sold [alin] and conveyed and by these presents does grant bargain [and] [alin] and conveyed the Said Thomas Hopper his heirs and [assigns] a lot of land in the Second District of Said county of Rabun known in the plot of said county as to number 185, in the Second District of said county.
