The first pastor of the church was Rev. Thomas Muse of Cuthbert, Georgia. He served the church as pastor twenty four years. During his pastorate and about two years before the Civil War entertained the Association. The deacons at this time were Williams, Wells and Isaiah Taylor. In 1865 James Cumbie of Randolph County served this church as pastor four years. During the pastorate of Cumbie the church was moved to Cotton Hill. The old building stood near the school house. In 1882 the building was torn down and the new one put up at the present site. Most of the framing of the old structure was used in building the present structure. In 1869 Thomas Muse returned as pastor. Thomas Crozier and J. W. Pittman were deacons. Rev. W. H. Norton of Fort Valley, Georgia succeeded Thomas Muse. He was pastor for two years. Rev. James Bass of Eufaula, Alabama was pastor the next two years. Rev. Joe Monday was called and preached one year. Rev. Howell served the church one year. Rev. Stout, of Eufaula, Alabama preached one year. Rev. Toby of Eufaula, Ala. served as pastor the following year. Rev. W. H. Norton returned and served the church as pastor for three years. The deacons were James Hobbs, Thomas Crozier, and J. W. Pittman. Rev. J. H. Corley was called and preached two years. The deacons were Bob Boyett, Robert Smith, and Andrew Shepherd. Rev. Knowles was called in 1900 and preached two years. The clerk of the church was J. W. Stanford. Rev. W. H. Norton returned in 1903 and served the church two years. The clerk in 1903 was A. B. Cross and in 1904 and 1905 J. W. Ray served as clerk. In 1906 Rev. J. E. White of Cowart, Alabama was called and served the church one year. The clerk of the church was G. R. Smith. The deacons were R. T. Boyett and J. A. Shepherd. In 1907 Rev. W. H. Norton was called again and served the church three years. The clerk was R. L. Boyett. Rev. J. O. Nowell was called in 1911 and preached for us two years. The clerk was A. W. Dawson. In 1904 Rev. A. C. Wellons, of Plains, Georgia was called as pastor, and served the church a number of years. The church had the same clerk. In 1918 Tom Crozier was clerk. Rev. Durden of Thomaston, Georgia succeeded Wellons. He served the church one year. The next pastor was Rev. Griffith of Fort Gaines, Georgia, and he served the church until 1923. The clerk was Leon Boyett. Rev. J. W. Snelson of Coleman, Georgia was called as pastor in 1923, J. C. Moore was elected Clerk. The deacons were Jean Boyett, J. C. Moore and E. P. Crozier. Brother Snelson served the church four years. The next pastor was Rev. C. J. Broom and he was called in 1927. He served the church one year. In 1928 Brother Broom resigned and our present pastor, Rev. J. W. Farmer, of Georgetown, Georgia was called. The deacons are J. H. Crozier, T. R. Smith, Jean Boyett, J. C. Moore and E. P. Crozier. About fifty eight years ago the Sunday School was organized and James Hobbs was Superintendent for a long time. And then Thomas Jester was superintendent a number of times and for thirty or forty years taught the Bible Class. Dr. Shivers also taught another class. Our present Sunday School Superintendent is J. C. Moore. The teachers are Mrs. Ida Crozier, Mrs. Addie Crozier, and Mrs. Norton Crozier. The secretary is Mrs. E. P. Crozier.
