P. Eldridge, aged 87 years, 5 months, 7 days. The deceased lived a ___ of high character, and was honored, esteemed and respected by all who knew him. He was a devoted Christian, an affectionate husband and father, and lived a useful and influential life. He had long been a member of the Baptist Church, and was highly esteemed in all the country 'round about for his honest and upright life. He met death calmly, and we trust he is now at rest with God. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his loss; but his influence and example are not dead and as the years shall come and go, generations will rise up to call him blessed. May we who remain prepare to meet him on the other shore, where parting is no more. - ADDIE M. ELDRIDGE." Texas Baptist Historical Collection Fort Worth, Texas Additional Comments: Rev.
