Mr. Roe was 82 years old and at one time owned nearly all the land upon which Cuthbert now stands. He built the building on College street torn away by Mr. Pulaski for the erection of his present residence, and occupied it for a number of years. He afterwards returned to Hancock county and spent the remainder of his days in the same house in which he was born. He was highly esteemed by all who knew him." [not my family] Lindy
