Baumer In Cuthbert, Ga. Beauty and elegance marked the marriage of Miss Claudia Moye, of Cuthbert, Ga., and George J. Baumer, of Syracuse, N.Y., which event took place Wednesday evening, November 26, at 7 o’clock at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Lila Tumlin Moye. Before the ceremony a musical program was given. The sun parlor where the ceremony was performed, was transformed by palms and ferns into a marriage altar. Newell posts garlanded with southern smilax formed an aisle and topping the posts were baskets of white chrysanthemums, festooned together with white tulle. Mrs. Donald Taylor, sister of the bride, acted as matron of honor. She wore a gown of flesh georgette heavily beaded in seed pearls, and carried a large arm bouquet of Killarney roses. Little Ailas Huckabee dressed in a white satin suit bore the ring and following him came the little flower girl, Robin Hood, who scattered rose petals before the bride and groom. Father Keenan, of Albany, Ga., officiated, using the ring ceremony. The bride was beautiful in her bridal robe of white georgette heavily beaded in crystal. Falling from her shoulders was a heavy satin train. Further enhancing her beauty was the bridal veil of rare lace and silk tulle. A coronet of the lace entwined with seed pearls was held to her hair with sprays of orange blossoms. Her only ornament was a platinum and diamond bracelet, the gift of the groom, and her flowers were a bouquet of orchids and roses. Following the ceremony an elaborate reception was held. The bride’s table was centered with a silver basket filled with white chrysanthemums and surrounding this were six silver candlesticks holding tall unshaded candles with the initials “M” and “B” in silver. The bride changed her wedding gown for an ensemble suit of sandalwood charmeen with hat and accessories to match. The bride and groom left on a wedding tour of 10 days in New York City, after which they will be at home in Syracuse, N.Y., 1701 Salina Street.
