THOMPSON STATE OF GEORGIA RANDOLPH COUNTY Transcribed by Larry Taylor April 28, 2002 To whomsoever this may concern, be it understood that I Edward (it is hard to tell how he spelled the middle name, but it should be Pickins, looks like Phy o ick)P. Thompson of said State and County aforesaid being in healthand of body and of mind, do make this my last will and Testament which I want carried out or executed after my death. Now for good and sufficient reasons moving therewith I make the following agrement: FIRST: In case I die before my wife Eliza I hereby nominate and appoint her Eliza my sole Executrex and that she choose any one she pleases to help(?) her in attending to her business if needed. SECOND: After my burial expenses and Lawful debts are are paid; If any should be, I want her Eliza to give to each interested child or other heirs five dollars as their part of my Estate from me. THIRD: All my personal property I give to my wife Eliza to live on or dispose of as she may think best. FOURTH: The Land we live on part of Lot 144 in the 10th District of Randolph County, Georgia, containing 150 acres, I give to my wife as a home during her natural life to use and control as she thinks best. And after her death and my death I want said land to be a home for my daughter Ardella during her natural life and after her death-to be the property of her children to be given to them when they become of age. FIFTH: If there be any personal property after our death which has not been desposed of I want it to be the property of Ardella and her children, in case of Ardella, except my watch and medical book which I wish to be given to my daughter Caroline Holman SIXTH: If my wife does not appoint any one to attend to things named in this will, then and in such case I appoint John C.
