There are several graves there but the stones have been broken, worn, or are missing. It is enclosed by a stone wall. My Son & Daughter In Memory of Miss MARY J. RHODES Died May 14th 1860, Aged 21 Years 2 Months & 10 Days She was young, beautiful and good- A loving daughter an affectionate Sister, a faithful friend, beloved by all, yet death spared her not. Farewell, thou loved one sacred by thy trust, No blot is on thy spotless memory, Our sighs are not for thee, for thou art blessed, Thou art in Heaven and there th y good with thee. Rhodes Died April 19th 1860, Aged 25 Years 10 Months & 11 Days It is rare that one so young acqui- res a character so unequaled for energy, enterprise and the morral traits which distinguish the useful citizen and good man. His claim to these qualities was accorded by all who knew him, but he shone brightest in the domestick circle where his untiring devotion and dutiful affection to his Father and family excited the commendation of all and left us naught to regret but his untimely death. yet we are consoled in the reflection that he died in peace with his maker and fellow Man.
