Note:
"A few years ago, my husband and I went to Georgia in search of
Eugene Lafayette's TARVER  parents burial place.  It was a family
cemetery where the family plantation was.  It is now a part of
Ft Gordon which is a blessing, because the Government agreed to
keep up all the cemeteries that were on the land they took for a
military base.  It was fenced and mowed.  The only graves there
were Samuel's and Frances' and 3 infant slabs and a
granddaughter.  Samuel died in 1855 (just before the war) and
Frances d. in 1867 (just after the war)." - Nancy Tarver
