Broad St. Georgia. This indenture made the third day of October in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and ninety-nine between Nathan BUSH of Richmond County, in the City of Augusta in the State of Georgia, Merchant of the one part and William MORGAN of Edgefield County, in the State of South Carolina, Planter of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Nathan BUSH for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar lawful money of the United States, to him in hand well and truly paid by the said William MORGAN at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained, sold, relinquished and quitted claim and by these presents doth bargain, sell, relinquish and quit claim unto the said William MORGAN and to his heirs and assigns all that lot or parcel of land, situate lying and being in the City of Augusta aforesaid, containing in front on Broad Street, fifty-four feet, and in depth two hundred and seven feet. Bounded southerly by Broad Street, easterly by part of lot no. 21 (twenty-one) in possession of Harris MAHER & CO., northwardly by another part of lot 21 (twenty-one) belonging to Rueben COLEMAN (deceased) and westerly by another part of said lot no. 21 (twenty-one) formerly the property of Charles HILL. Together with all and singular the rights, members, improvements and app? rtenances thereof whatsoever unto the said lot of land respectively belonging or in an wise appertaining. To have and to hold the said lot or parcel of land and premises aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said William MORGAN, his heirs and assigns to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of the said William MORGAN his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Nathan BUSH for himself and his heirs doth covenant and agree to and with the said William MORGAN his heirs and assigns that he the said William MORGAN his heirs and assigns shall and may from henceforth and forever hereafter, peaceably and quietly enter into possess and enjoy the said lot or parcel of land and premises aforesaid, free from any claim or claims, disturbances or interruption of from or by the said Nathan BUSH or his heirs or those claiming or to claim by from or under him or them, and doth hereby for himself and his heirs warrant and defend the same against him the said Nathan BUSH and his heirs and all and every person and persons claiming or to claim by from or under him them or any of them, but without recourse in case of any deficiency in his title to the said lot. In witness whereof the said Nathen BUSH hath here unto set his hand and seal the day and year first afore written. N.
