Book H, page 16 "Georgia Jackson County This Indenture made this third day of July Eighteen hundred & twenty two between Thomas Pace of the County of Washington & state aforesaid of the one part & Absalom Chrisler of the County & State aforesaid of the other part ~ Witnesseth that the said Thomas Pace for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold & by these presents doth grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Absalom Chrisler his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of Land Containing five hundred and thirty two acres be the same more or less situate lying & being in the county first aforesaid on the waters of gravelly and Turkey Creek bounded as follows beginning at a white oak on the south branch of Turkey Creek thence westward to Barr's line thence with Barr's line to Thrasher's thence with Thrashers to Gores thence with Gores to Wint! ers & thence with Winters to Leeks? thence with Leeks to Langstons thence with Langstons to Pattons thence with Pattons to the beginning It being part of an Eight thousand acre survey surveyed for & granted to John Hinson and the same tract of Land Conveyed from Charles Byron to the said Absalom Chrisler (the clerk must have put the wrong name here) by deed bearing date the 17th day of february 1821 and recorded in the Clerks office of Jackson on the 22nd day of January 1822. To have and to hold the said tract of Land with all and Singular the premises or appurtenances thereunto belonging or appertaining - And I the said Thomas Pace do hereby bind myself to warrant and defend the tract of land and premises aforesaid from my self and my heirs & from and against any person claiming under us or any of us & /& no further/ to the said Absalom Chrisler his heirs and assigns forever - In witness whereof I hereto set my hand and seal the day and date first written Thos.
