James Waters Land Warrant 06 Aug 1784 Richmond County, GA The Court of Justices of the County of Richmond To John Walton County Surveyor for the said county You are hereby authorized and required to admeasure and lay out or cause to be admeasured and laid out, unto James Waters, a tract of land which shall contain two hundred acres in the said county of Richmond on his own headright free from purchase and to be laid out on the waters of the Grat Kiocas. Taking especial care that the same has not heretofore been laid out unto any other person or persons: and you are hereby also directed and required to record the plat of the same in your office, and trasnmit a copy thereof, together with this warrant to the Surveyor General within the term of three months from this date.
