Negro Shot By Unknown Party

Augusta, Ga., Aug. 20 – George Holmes, a negro, while walking along Lincoln
Street was shot with a gun by unknown parties.  The load struck him in the arm
and side.  He was carried to Lamar Hospital and his wounds dressed.  The
shooting is a mystery, as Holmes is an inoffensive negro.
